Established in 1992. Has no church building, just a parsonage for the minister and family. They intend to build one and are raising the money. Meanwhile, they keep the Sunday Services outdoor at good weather, and inside in wintertime. Short history:

The Unitarian Church in Győr was established in 1992. Althought Győr as a fellowship had existed since 1920 as part of the Transdanubian Church with its center in Polgárdi.

Following the First and Second world wars and the turnover in Romanian in 1989, many Unitarians moved from Transylvania to Hungary. Unitarians settled in Győr and its surroundings as well.

This made necessary the establishment of an independent church with its center in Győr.

In 1996 the congregation bought a house and land in Győr. They repaired the house where the minister would live. In the big room he holds the Sunday services, but in the summer time in good weather they are held in the courtyard. On holidays when a lot of memebrs attend, they use the facilities of other denominations.

In 1997 they established the Bölöni Farkas Sándor Foundation in the hope of raising money for a church building.

In 1998 the church bought a bell from donations and put it int he courtyard on a wooden suport.

In 1999 during confirmation ceremonies the bishops from Hungary and Transylvania were present.

Church life is very active, they have children’s education, and a youth group.

The minister supplies the following cities: Győr, Mosonmagyaróvár and its area, Pápa, Veszprém and its area,  Sopron and its area, Szombathely, Sárvár and its area, Tata, Tatabánya and its area,  Komárom-Esztergom and its area.
