József was born in 1909 in Nemeshetés.  József's father was József JAKABFY and his mother was Júlia  PETŐFI.  His paternal grandparents were N. JAKABFY and N. N.. He had a brother and three sisters, named Antal, Margit, Magdolna and Rozália .  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 81 on February 13th, 1990.
