Trézsi was born on September 30th, 1836 in Búcsúszentlászló (Zala).  Trézsi's father was Gergely (nemeshetési) JAKABFY and her mother was Rozália  HOMPÓ.  Her paternal grandparents were György (nemeshetési) JAKABFY and N. N.. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Gergely, Sándor, Anna and Terézia.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
